The girl behind the camera

I am Katelyn, a twenty something based in Omaha, Nebraska. My favorite things are literally any outdoor activity, snuggling up with my two dogs and husband for a good movie and glass of red, Starbucks runs, and time with my family. I have been photographing weddings for about 8 years, but have had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My favorite parts of this AMAZING career of mine are being a part of your favorite moments, being surrounded by joyous souls, celebrating alongside you, and creating art with like minded friends.

Photography is first; my passion in this life, and second, my career. After eight years in this business I still can’t help but stay up late the night of your wedding editing my favorite images from the day. I still get nervous before every single wedding I shoot. I still tear up when I remember that I am living the life 15 year old Kate dreamed about living.

I promise to hold back tears while your mom helps you dress and when your spouse sees you walking down the aisle, hold back giggles while your slightly tipsy maid of honor tells stories from your past. Most of all I promise to capture every moment of your day.

The first step in creating images that truly represent who you are right now in this stage of life depends on getting to know each other. I want to be your friend, not just another vendor. I want to know what makes you who you are and what makes your relationship special on a deeper level.

Travel

“I haven’t been everywhere but it’s on my list”

My passion for travel and exploring started early on in my life. My grandpa built a cabin at the Calamus Reservoir and we visited every summer. I spent my time running through the sand dunes, swimming in the lake, making forts in the trees, and realizing my love of all things adventure.

I am willing, able, and yearning to travel and love that my job gives me the opportunity to do just that! Want to have a session in another part of Nebraska? Lets go!
